Batch Traceability
A Certificate Not Tied To Your Batch Proves Nothing. Here Is The One Code You Are Supposed To Check.
A lab report is only proof if it is tied to the exact batch in your hand. Most buyers never check. Every vial ships the same way: one batch code, printed on the vial, that is supposed to open the matching report.

A supplier tells you every order includes a Certificate of Analysis. That sounds like proof, and it can be, but only if one detail lines up.
Every real batch of material has its own code. A lab report is a document about one specific batch. The two are only connected if the code on the document matches the code on the vial.
Almost nobody checks that. Most people see a PDF attached to their order and stop reading right there.
Biolinx Labs ties every report to a batch code, not a product page.
Each vial carries a code that opens its own lab report, not a generic document shared across every order of that product.
Explore the Offer →1A report is about one batch, not one product
Material is made in batches. Each batch gets its own testing run, and that run is what a Certificate of Analysis actually reports on. It is not a statement about the product in general. It is a statement about that specific batch.
A report proves something about one batch. It proves nothing about a different one.
2The easiest thing to reuse is a PDF
Once a report exists for a product, it is trivial to attach the same file to every order of that product, regardless of which batch actually shipped. Nothing about receiving a PDF confirms it describes the vial in the box.
This is not usually deliberate deception. It is often just a shortcut nobody bothered to remove. Either way, the buyer ends up holding proof for a batch they never received.
A document is only proof if it is tied to the batch that actually shipped to you.
3How the batch code is supposed to work
Each Biolinx vial carries a unique code that opens its own Certificate of Analysis and testing record. Type the code into a lookup and the report for that exact batch opens, rather than a general product page.
Checking it takes seconds: find the code on the vial, open the report, confirm the same code appears on it.
If the batch code is not on both the vial and the report, there is nothing left to check.
Sample layout, not a real report. Use the lab report lookup below to open the real one for your batch.
Transparency you can verify
Verify Your Product's Lab Report
Every vial carries a batch code that opens its own lab report. Enter the code to see the available analytical results for that exact batch, including purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry.
The lookup runs on Biolinx Labs and opens the report for the matching batch. If a code is not recognised you are returned to the verification section so you can check it and try again. Browse all current certificates
4On a multi-vial order, check every code separately
Several vials in one box arrive as several distinct batches, not one. Confirming the code on the first vial says nothing about whether the second or third one matches its own report.
Checking one batch in a multi-vial order tells you about one vial. Check them all.
5The thirty second check
- Find the batch code on the vial. It is printed on the label, not hidden in an email.
- Open the report for that exact code. A lookup by code, not a generic product PDF.
- Confirm the code on the document matches the code on the vial. Character for character.
- Repeat it per vial on a multi-vial order. Each one is its own batch.
| On the order | Biolinx Labs | Typical supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Code on the vial | Printed, unique per batch | Sometimes absent |
| Report tied to that batch | Yes, opens by code | Often product-level, reused |
| Self-serve lookup | Batch code lookup | Email and wait |
| Multi-vial orders | Each vial traceable on its own | Often one document for the order |
Match the code. Then decide.
A report is only worth what it is tied to. Check the batch code before you check anything else. Buy 1, get 1 free on eligible vials.

Never once compared the code on the vial to the report before reading this. Started doing it on my last order and it matched exactly.
Same habit here now. Takes about ten seconds once you know where to look.
Ordered three vials together and checked all three codes separately. All three matched their own reports, which was reassuring given they are different batches.
Asked a previous supplier for a batch-specific document once and got the same generic PDF everyone else gets. Big difference once you know to ask.
Typing the code and getting that exact batch's report is what sold me on switching.
Simple check, and it is the one thing I now do before opening anything else in the box.
